A quick update on my latest commission: A wonderful client of mine asked me to paint a painting of peppers for her kitchen. After some sketches using chili peppers and bell peppers, she decided that bell peppers would be best. We came to an agreement on a sketch and I went about painting in oils her painting. Of course, I spent too much time on the first painting (did I say first?). I felt like I overpainted those beautiful, lucious peppers. There is something about oil paint that just makes me do that! So, I took out another canvas and started another painting of the peppers. I am going to present both to the client this coming weekend. Let's see which one she likes better.
